Decorative tattoos have a history dating back at least 5000 years. The desire to remove them has probably existed just as long. Early attempts to remove tattoos have had less than desirable results. The use of dermabrasion, salabrasion and Argon or C02 asers have left behind scars in place of the tattoo. The advent of the Q-Switched lasers has permitted the removal of most tattoo inks with very good results. The Revlite Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser is the newest system in this class of lasers. The Revlite can significantly lighten or remove many tattoo inks, and is particularly advanced in the removal of black and red inks.
How does it work?
The Revlite laser removes tattoo ink with the energy of light. Just as natural sunlight is made up of light wavelengths of many colors, a laser is a device which is designed to produce one or more specific wavelengths of light. These wavelengths are either absorbed, reflected or simply passed through objects. Tattoo ink is removed by using a specific wavelength which passes through the skin but is absorbed by the ink. The rapid absorption of light energy causes the tattoo ink to break down, where it is then removed by the body’s natural filtering system.
An air filter, food, enought space, the right temperature, clean water, a sucker fish will do
Water would be a good idea. Food and filters etc. would be an optional extra. Depends on how long you want the fish to live.

The condition is depending on the type and species of the fish
A note from his teacher found amidst my friend’s photos from a ninth-grade trip to Mexico in 1990.
It reads:
“Don’t even moan when you hear who your partner is going to be. I have to verify the source of B.O. before calling the counselor + youre my method. (My nose is stopped up). Gracias. -Destroy this note.”
This is a small selection of the many incredible images the Square America blog has to offer. These were gleaned from the Square America gallery collection The Bar Mitzvah and Other Tales of Living in Stereo (Presented in Eye-Popping 3D!) which can be found at Square America.
In the lower valley of Omo which borders Ethiopia, Kenya and the Sudan, you’ll find the Mursi and Surma tribes. This is Africa at it’s wildest. The influence of nature on the last remaining tribal cultures in Africa has beautifully recorded by Hans Silvester. What fascinates me is the random spontaneity with which the Omo adorn themselves, often with the closest natural elements at hand.
Just a couple of days to the kick off of the World Cup finals in South Africa. I very much hope an African country will win. And esp that the poor will benefit from this commercial circus. Let’s hope the new stadion in South Africa, costs €500 million, can make dreams happen… although I am afraid it would have been much better for many people to invest all this money in safe playgrounds, sports and education for the children living in the townships.
Look to the natural world for inspiration. But look closely. Individual composition that takes away all the preconceptions of what is right or wrong has its roots in ethnicity. Enjoy Africa’s true colours while you still can- fragile societies are fast loosing their identity to the encroachment of urban sprawl.
If a single individual could be held up to *personify* the Shoah, that person would be Anne Frank. As a child I read The diary of Anne Frank, a piece of non-fiction from a teenage Jewish girl who spent 25 months in hiding in a warehouse attic in Nazi-occupied Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
In this attic at the 263 Prinsengracht -nowadays the *Anne-Frank-House*, and also a memorial to the 102.000 Dutch Jews who perished in concentration camps during WW II- she retained both her diary and sunny look to life untill the Franks were deported. The diary is like everybody’s growing up, but Anne also represents the face of the persecuted. She used her diary to deal with both the boredom and her youthful array of thoughts, which had as much to do with personal relationships as with the war and the Nazi terror raging outside. Anne Frank died in Bergen-Belsen in 1945, a few weeks before the camp was liberated by British troops.
Today, May 4, is the Dutch day of remembrance of war-dead since WW II. Tomorrow, on May 5, we celebrate the liberation of the nation from the Nazi-occupation.

There are many things in life which are important, and even more things which are unimportant. Most important is life itself and our human relationships. Where you invest your love, you invest your life.
